Frequently Asked QuestionsNeed a quick answer about your child's photographs, subscription or order? We've brought together the questions parents ask us most often. If you still need a hand, our support team is happy to help. Your Happy Days SubscriptionOur subscription is just £4 per month per family, not per child. For each eligible visit, we aim to take up to three individual portrait poses and, where arranged, sibling photographs. Your subscription includes a 7x5-inch print of each individual and sibling pose taken, digital downloads of individual and sibling portraits, and one printed copy of each class group photograph taken. You don't need to choose your included prints; we arrange these automatically and normally deliver them to school around 3 to 4 weeks after the photographs are taken. The subscription covers eligible photographs taken after you join. Unfortunately, we can't move sibling photographs between access codes. We normally link them to the older sibling's code rather than create another code for parents to enter. This also means that purchasing the Download All option for that access code includes the sibling photographs at no additional charge. You can still mix and match sibling and individual photographs within our packages, regardless of which access code they're linked to, provided the images appear together under My Picture Sets in your account. Finding Your PhotographsPhotographs taken before April 2026 are available through our previous ordering website, www.hdporders.com, using your old account. For photographs taken from April 2026 onwards, please log in to your new account at www.hdschoolphoto.com. Please email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk with each child's full name, school, year group and class. We'll help you check that their photographs are available in your account. Don't worry. Email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk with your child's full name, school, year group and class, and we'll help you access their photographs. Digital DownloadsOn a phone, log in, tap the three lines at the top left and select My Downloads. On a computer, log in, select Digital Portraits, then My Downloads. Log in, tap the three lines at the top left, select My Account and then My Picture Sets. Find the photographs you'd like and choose the download option. The watermark protects our photographs while they're displayed as previews online. Your purchased digital files are supplied without it. Select the cloud-shaped download icon to save individual images, or download all your images as a ZIP folder and extract them. The website previews will still show a watermark even after you've purchased your photographs. Please don't screenshot the previews, as screenshots will retain the watermark and won't be full-quality files. First, check that you're logged in with the email address used for your order, then look in My Downloads or My Picture Sets. If you still can't access your images, email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk with your order number and the email address used to purchase them. Yes. Once purchased and properly downloaded, your digital files will be watermark-free. The previews shown on our website will continue to display the watermark. Some larger photographic packages offer additional digital images at a reduced price. These discounts apply when purchasing qualifying packages and give families better value when ordering more photographs. Ordering PhotographsYes. You can add different photograph types to the same basket and pay for them in one order, although class groups and portraits aren't necessarily part of the same package. Absolutely. All our portrait packages allow you to mix and match different portrait poses and sibling photographs, including images linked to different access codes, provided they're available under My Picture Sets in your account. You can also choose different backgrounds within a package where background options are available for that photography job. Where panoramic photographs have been taken at your child's school, select View All Products and then Panoramic to see the available options and add them to your order. Yes. Select View All Products, then Enlargements, to see the larger print sizes available and add your preferred size to your basket. Please email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk as soon as possible. Include your child's full name, school, year group and class, your order number or payment reference, and the email address used for the order. We'll investigate and let you know what can be done. Changes may not be possible once an order has entered production. For safeguarding and security reasons, we ask parents to place all photograph orders online using their child's QR code. If you're having trouble ordering, our support team can help guide you through the process. Delivery and Missing OrdersOrders delivered to school are normally distributed around three weeks after photo day, subject to the school's ordering arrangements. For home delivery, please allow approximately 3 to 5 working days after dispatch, depending on your local postal service. Yes, you can still order your photographs online for delivery to your home. A £3.60 postage and packaging charge will apply. If your order was delivered to school, please check with the school office first, as they may still have photographs waiting to be handed out. If anything is still missing, email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk with your order details and we'll investigate. Class Photographs and PrivacyProtecting the privacy of all the children in a class photograph is really important to us. Once a digital group photograph is downloaded, we cannot control whether it's shared online or passed on to others. That's why our company policy is not to offer digital downloads of class group photographs. Printed class photographs remain available to order and eligible prints are included in our family subscription. Photograph Storage and CopyrightHappy Days Creative retains the copyright to the photographs we take. When you purchase digital photographs, you can download, print and share them for personal use, including with family and friends. Copyright ownership doesn't transfer with your purchase, and photographs must not be resold or used commercially without our permission. We retain school photographs for up to seven years under our data retention policy. After that, they're securely deleted in accordance with our data protection procedures. We recommend downloading or ordering older photographs while they're still available. Our Photography and Editing PolicyIt's a question we're being asked more and more, and with so much talk about AI and digital manipulation at the moment, I completely understand why parents are asking. The simple answer is that we do not use generative AI to change how children look in their photographs. In fact, much of what people assume is AI is actually the result of good, traditional photography. We use a carefully designed single-light and reflector setup to create beautiful, soft, balanced lighting that naturally flatters the person in front of the camera. We also use professional software called Perfectly Clear to separate the subject from the background, giving parents the freedom to choose a background they love. On rare occasions, we may use tools within Adobe Creative Suite to correct technical issues such as reflections in glasses, but this is very different from artificially changing someone's appearance. What we absolutely do not do is digitally 'beautify' children. We don't smooth skin, reshape faces, remove natural features or apply the sorts of filters that have become so commonplace on social media. We don't routinely remove blemishes, scratches, pen marks, food stains or any of the little things that are part of being a child. If a parent specifically requests additional retouching, we can consider this separately, often at an additional cost, but it will never be something we automatically apply to a child's photograph. I firmly believe there is an important difference between producing a professionally photographed portrait and digitally creating an unrealistic version of the person standing in front of the camera. At Happy Days Creative, our photography has always had a very deliberate purpose. To capture children as they really are, not as technology thinks they should look. Children don't need perfect skin, artificial smiles or digitally enhanced features to make a beautiful photograph. Their individuality, expressions and all those little characteristics are precisely what make their school photographs so special, particularly when families look back at them years later. Technology has an important place in our industry, and we embrace the tools that help us deliver a better service, but there is a line between improving the presentation of a photograph and changing the person within it. It's a line we take seriously, and one we have absolutely no intention of crossing. Getting HelpOf course. Email support@happydaysphoto.co.uk and tell us what's happening, which device you're using and, if possible, include a screenshot of any error message. This helps us understand the problem and guide you towards a solution. We do our best to reply to every enquiry as quickly as possible. During busy school photography periods, we receive a high volume of messages, so thank you for your patience. Please also check your junk or spam folder in case our reply has gone there.
